TUITION

Tuition fees are due at the time of registration. Tuition fees are not refundable, as they are a donation to the church.

TUITION FEES

  • One Child $160
  • Two Children $200
  • Three or more $225
  • Communion Fee $35   (per Child)
  • Confirmation Fee $175 (per Child)

The tuition covers the cost of textbooks and materials used in the program.

If your family is experiencing financial difficulties or hardship, please contact the Religious Education Office to speak privately with the DRE about your situation.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION

Children preparing for First Holy Communion and Confirmation are required to complete two consecutive years of instruction. Specific details and requirements for these sacraments can be found in the separate Sacramental Packet that parents will receive during our first meeting.

Here is a softer, more encouraging version that keeps the rules clear but frames them as a partnership with the families.

ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES

Consistent attendance helps your child get the most out of their faith formation. Our program is designed to include both classroom learning and worship, so regular attendance at both class and Mass is expected.

  • Absences: We understand that things come up, so we allow up to 5 excused absences during the school year. To stay on track, students will just need to make up any missed assignments at home.

  • Excessive Absences: Missing 6 or more classes may unfortunately require repeating the year. This is especially important for our sacramental preparation years, as consistent attendance is necessary to receive First Communion or Confirmation. For other grades, extra make-up homework will be assigned.

  • Letting Us Know: If your child is going to be absent, please give us a call or email us at stjohnsreligiouseducation@gmail.com. We will gladly send over the materials so you can help them review the lesson at home.

  • Arrival Times: Please try to arrive on time. Arriving up to 10 minutes late will be marked as a tardy. To avoid disrupting the lesson, students who are more than 15 minutes late will be marked absent and will need to complete the lesson at home.
