We are located in Bergenfield, NJ. St. John the Evangelist is a parish of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, NJ.

St. John's is a Catholic parish with several thousand registered families, with a wide variety of services for spiritual enrichment, youth development, and social interaction.

St. John's was established in 1905, and continues to grow into a spiritual home for those who actively participate in our liturgies and ministries. Our parish is also actively involved in evangelization, to bring the gospel to those waiting to meet the love of Jesus Christ. Our Mission has been given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ and is recorded in the Gospels: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
